Feeding Instructions:

Weight Daily Feeding (cup) 3 - 5 lbs 1/4 - 1/2 5 - 10 lbs 1/2 - 1 10 - 15 lbs 1 - 1 1/3 Kittens: Start allowing kittens access to AvoDerm® Chicken & Herring Meal Formula cat food about 3 weeks before weaning. The food can be moistened to help consumption. After weaning feed the kitten 3 - 4 times per day for the first 2 months, and then from 2 - 3 times per day until reaching Adult size, and then 1 - 2 times per day. Expect to feed 1 1/2 - 2 times the Adult feeding recommendation during the kitten's growing phase. Adjust the daily amount fed so the kitten maintains a good body condition. Pregnant Females: During pregnancy increase the feeding amount during the last 1/3 of pregnancy to 1 1/2 times the amount recommended as shown for the Adult. Avoid excessive overfeeding, maintaining a good body condition, while preparing for whelp and nursing. Lactating Females: A nursing female can expect to need 2 - 3 times as much food as recommended in the Adult feeding guideline. Adjust the extra food given by the number of kittens and length of nursing. Try to maintain a good body condition. However, with large numbers of kittens, expect to have some loss in body fat for milk production. AvoDerm® is naturally formulated to be complete and balanced with added vitamins and minerals, and other essential nutrients for your cat. Adult cats should be fed once or twice a day. Find your cat's approximate weight on the chart to determine the amount of food you should feed daily. Transition Instructions:

Day 1 & 2: Feed 20% new food and 80% of the old brand. Day 3 & 4: Feed 50% new food and 50% of your pet’s old brand. Day 5: Feed 80% new food and 20% of the old brand. Day 6: Feed 100% new food from now on.
